How To Install 2013 Hyundai Sonata Radio?

 

You have no interest in listening to tapes, but you only have the radio in your Hyundai Sonata. Your smartphone is loaded with your favorite tunes, but you don't have a 3.5mm or USB port on your car radio, so you can't appreciate your car going full...that's why we're writing this article. Because in this article, you'll learn how to install a car radio on your 2013 Hyundai Sonata. Removing The Old Car Radio

 

Step 1: Disconnect the 2013 hyundai sonata negative battery wire (or ground wire) from the car and use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the cable clamp. Remove the clip from the negative battery lead and keep it away from the battery.

 

Step 2: Open the 2013 hyundai sonata glove box to access the dash trim retaining screws. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screw at the top of the glove box opening. Pull the dash trim strip from the dash to reveal the stereo mounting screws.

Step 3: Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the two screws on the bottom of the speaker.

 

Step 4: Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the two screws on the bottom of the two dashboards on either side of the speaker. Remove the panel to reveal the two screws on either side of the stereo. Remove the screws holding the stereo to the stereo mounting bracket.

Step 5: Pull the Sonata's radio far enough from the dash to access the wires that connect to the back of the car.

Step 6: Pull out the wire set at the back of the speaker. Clamp the antenna, speakers, power supply, and amplifier with the plastic wiring harness, not the wiring harness itself. Pull the stereo completely from the modern dashboard.

 

Install And Connect Car Radio

 

First, attach the metal frame to the new radio, the job of this frame is to hold your car radio on your 2013 Hyundai Sonata, once placed, make sure you press the locking tabs on each side of the frame. After this step is complete, you will need to connect your car radio's three plugs, the two ISO connectors for power and sound to your Hyundai Sonata's speakers, and then the radio antenna socket. For the latter, on some models you may need an adapter to convert it from male to female to be able to adjust it to your new radio's socket.

In the end, all you have to do is push your car radio into the metal frame, snap it into place, and place the plastic or metal frame it provides on the head unit.
