Awesome Binize Android touchscreen stereo! I am thrilled with how smooth and easy it is to use. Very high quality build, software is customizable and works great. Binize has great online support and I recently found their Youtube videos that show how to perform different options and get the most out of the unit. Would definitely recommend!
I love these radios. This is my second one. I have an old 2004 Tacoma and this thing fits perfect. The install is easy and onky took about 30 minutes. All the wires are labeled and ready to hook up. I highly recommend these. For the money its a no brainer. Its like having your tablet in your vehicle. Also using a bluetooth obd and can read and reset vehicles codes on the fly.
I purchased this Binize 7 Inch Android 10 head unit along with a Metra Electronics 70-7903 Wiring Harness (specifically designed for '06 MX5). Getting the stereo to work was as simple as it could have gotten; getting the steering wheel to function was work.
The Metra harness plugs into car harness on one end, and color-coordinated wires that connect to the Binize harness on the other--The Metra harness is not required but simplifies installation. I followed the instructions on vehicle-specific guide and surprisingly there were no issues. The head unit worked the first time. Radio and the media player sound better than my OE stereo, the bluetooth connected to my phone on the first attempt, and the touch screen is surprisingly responsive for an economical stereo.
Getting the steering wheel controls to work was another story. I also purchased a Metra Axxess ASWC-1 Universal Steering Wheel Control Interface to simplify that process. I tried and tried but I couldn't make that work. It turns out that ASWC-1 was not needed after all. Two wires come out of Binize harness marked "Key 1" and "Key 2." Two wires go into car harness called "1P" and "1N." (Look at ASWC-1 instructions to find which 1N and 1P wires.) I connected Key-1 to 1N, 1P to ground, and left Key-2 not connected to anything. Wholla! Sounds easy, but this process took more than 12+ hours of research and experimentation.
